More about Mill B North Overlook Trail, Big Cottonwood Canyon

This photo was taken about the 1 mile point on the Mill B North Trail. It's a favorite overlook of mine. I love it for several reasons. 1) It has spectacular views looking into the Lake Blanche/Mill B South Trail area. 2) It only takes around 45 minutes or less to hike to so it makes for a great quick evening hike 3) It's a peaceful, quiet place to sit and meditate. You can see for miles to the South, East and West of you, including into the Salt Lake valley. 4) It's a trail with lots of variety including a stream, plenty of slate to walk on, a waterfall, big rocks to cross, old pine trees down that resemble giant scattered toothpicks, etc. It's a short hike to this overlook but if you want to keep hiking, you can go at least another 3 - 4 miles and connect with Desolation Trail and the Great Western Trail. Further into the climb you'll be in awe of a HUGE bowl, which you hike around the side of. You'll see the west side of Mt. Raymond. When we hike Circle All Peak soon, you'll have incredible views of many great peaks including Mt. Raymond's east side! This whole area is so green, lush and absolutely beautiful!
